Open Mic Night – July 6, 2022
On July 6, 1957, St Peter’s Church Hall was filled with the sound of music, including the George Edwards Band, the Quarrymen putting on the style, and a young Paul McCartney rocking up twenty flights on guitar and shaking a whole lot on the piano! On July 6 this year, 65 years to the day, of that memorable evening when the Lennon-McCartney partnership began and musical history was made, we want to fill the hall with music again with an Open Mic night.
Our goal is to provide the opportunity for musicians within the local community to come together and celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Paul being introduced to the Quarrymen right here at St Peter’s!

So, if you would like to play in one of the most important places in modern musical history on the anniversary of the day that the Beatles began, this is your chance!! It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or an expert, whether you’re on your own or have your own group, everyone is welcome! If you are on your own, and would like a “little help” from new friends, the Fab Few, our hosts for the evening, will be happy to help.
Recording for posterity is allowed!
