Private Thomas Burrows Baker was born in Woolton. Census records from 1911 listed Thomas Baker, aged 22, with wife Edith, aged 24, married for one year, in 1911. Thomas was recorded as a Domestic Gardener and resided at 57 Cobden Street, Woolton. He was the son of William and Hannah Baker.
Thomas served in the 9th Battalion Kings Liverpool Regiment, Serial Number 241461. He died of wounds 12 October 1918, age 30.
His wife Edith moved afterwards to Heath Terrace, Newton Franby, Cheshire.
Thomas is remembered with Honour at Etaples Military Cemetery.
