Major Norman Mather born Seaforth and in 1891 Norman age 9 living with Father Arthur a solicitor and Mother Frances and brothers Arthur H age 19, Walter S age 18, Ernest G age 16, Charles age 14, Percy B age 8, sisters Jessie age 22, Frances E age 21. and 6 servants , Family Living Church Rd Beechwood.

When the War Broke broke out Major Norman Mather was farming in Australia he returned to serve ( Major Norman Mather returned from Sydney to London on the Ship Beltana) and enlisted as Private in the 10th Liverpool (Scottish) Kings. Major Norman Mather was commissioned in 12th September 1916. Norman was educated at Bilton Grange and Rugby schools.
