Private John Richard Threlfall born Woolton and in 1911 aged 16 and employed as Farm Labourer ,living with Father also called John , Mother Mary Jane, brother Henry age 11,sisters Annie aged 19, and married sister Edith Reynolds aged 23,and granddaughter Winnie Reynolds aged 1. family living at 4 Rose St Woolton.
According to John Richard Threlfall service records he enlisted in the South Lancashire Regiment at Seaforth on 29th December 1914 at the time living at 5 Jones Cottages Rose St Woolton. Posted 5th January 1915 and Join BEF and embarked at Southampton 29th June 1915 arrived at Rouen 30th June 1916.
Private John Richard Threlfall seems to have suffered epilepsy on a number occasions transferred to a number of Field Ambulances and returned to duty on after a few days.
Private John Richard Threlfall received gun shot wounds to both legs and died in the 11 General Hospital Boulogne on 2nd September 1915.
