George age 16 in 1901 an apprentice gardener living with father also called George, brother Percy H aged 20,sisters Lily M aged 14 and  Catherine aged 10 , Maggie aged 5 family living 18 Wrights Terrace Wavertree.

George Ernest Squires marries Mary Ann OField , 26th March 1910 St Anne’s Church Aigburth. George’s father a gardener. Mary Ann’s father a Parish Clerk

Private George (Ernest) Squires in 1911 age 27 employed as Head Gardener and wife of 1 year Mary Ann aged 38. living at Camphill Lodge Woolton.

From the Devereux database at Museum of Liverpool at Pierhead. Private George Squires enlisted July 1916 in 4th Kings Liverpool. Serial Number 47355 drafted to France in November of that year and employed for 17 years as Head Gardener to Mr. C J Williamson of Camphill.).

From George pension records his wife Mary Ann living at 62 Waterloo Road Waterloo.
