In 1901 Frederick aged 10 living with Father William , Mother Mary, brother Frank aged 4 (died WW1), sisters Lilian aged 6, Maude age 2. Family Living at 47 Lindley St Liverpool.

In 1911 Frederick serving as Private 2nd Batt Loyal North Lancashire

According to a Newspaper article for his brother Frank who died 18th August 1916. it mentions Frederick serving in the Loyal North Lancashire in India when the war breaks out and went out to East Africa who was killed in November 1914.

Private Frederick Wright was part of the Indian Expeditionary Force “B” arrived on the coast of German East Arica on the 1st November 1914 and demanded the surrender of the port of Tanga. The force which included the 2nd Loyal North Lancashire Regiment attacked the German garrison on the 4th November 1914 . The force suffered 800 casualties and Private Frederick Wright was one of the 800 casualties. Tanga was eventually taken on 7th July 1916.
