Private Charles Henry White born Woolton and in 1911 aged 21 employed as a Domestic Gardener living with Father also called Charles and Mother Mary (Charles Married to Mary 23 years) and brother William aged 17 , George aged 9, Ernest aged 8, sister Lilly aged 13. Family living at No 1 Court No 3 Rose St Woolton.

According to Charles Henry White service records aged 24 enlisted in the 3rd Kings Liverpool Regiment at Seaforth serial number 10854 on the 18th August 1914. Charles 5 foot and 41/ 2 inches tall. weight 126 Ibs, and Grey eyes. Charles was a Roman Catholic (St Mary’s Woolton). Employment general labourer . At that time  living at 36 Rodick St Woolton.  Parents and brother William living 15 Rose St Woolton.Transferred on 17th November 1915 to the 9th Bn Cheshire Regiment serial number 33613. Posted to France 18 December 1915. Henry’s brothers George serving in the 1st Batt. Kings Liverpool Regiment and Ernest Alfred serving in the 2nd Batt. Royal Welch Fusiliers. Service record also lists a sister Mrs Lilian Rimmer age 22 living 24 Chesterton St  Garston. And a half sister Mrs Mary Elizabeth Tippin living at 36 Rodick St Woolton.
