When John Met Paul 65!

It doesn’t seem five minutes since we held a five-day music festival to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the day that John met Paul in St Peter’s Church Hall!

The Quarrymen in St Peter’s Church Hall on July 6, 2017, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the day that John met Paul.

Today we are delighted to announce our plans to celebrate the 65th anniversary, with two special events!**

July 6, 2022

On July 6, 2022, the Church Hall will be open to visitors and the wonderful Norma will be leading a special Beatle-themed singalong! These events have been hugely popular in the past and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate. All events on July 6 are FREE, and there might be a few treats for everyone who can join us.

July 9, 2022 – The Quarrymen in Concert

Then, on Saturday July 9, we are delighted and privileged to announce that the Quarrymen will be performing in the Church Hall, just as they did 65 years ago. The Quarrymen will be supported by The Shakers, the Cavern’s resident Merseybeat group and leading exponents of the original Mersey Sound today! In addition to three sets of live music, the ticket price includes a buffet, with both savoury and sweet finger food and nibbles. Following the format of the highly successful “Celebration of Community” dance held on July 7, 2017, all guests are welcome to bring their own drinks!

Only 65 tickets, priced at £30 each, will be available and will be on sale soon!

A splendid time is guaranteed for all, and we do hope that you will join us as we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the day that John met Paul and the Beatles began!
